Audrey Justine Tautou is a French actress and model who rose to international fame by playing a shy eccentric waitress in the romantic comedy Amelie which won her several prizes and awards. Tautou has been called Audrey Hepburn for her good looks as well as acting talent and charisma She has the best of the two worlds. Acting did not seem like an appropriate career option for the beautiful dark-haired beauty who hailed from a family of intellectuals her father worked as a dentist while mother was teaching. In high school, she caught the bug of acting, which led her to decide to go pro as an actress. She attended acting classes at Cours Florent and shortly after, she was offered a role on the production of a television film Coeur de cible. She made her movie debut in the feature film Venus Beauty Institute for which she received a lot of praise. The daring actress has a passion for playing a broad variety of characters. She has been in films of various styles, ranging from Amelie the romantic movie and Dirty Pretty Things the thriller. France is her birthplace, and she was a star in French film for a couple of years prior to her Hollywood debut with Tom Hanks. Her sense of style distinguishes her as an actress.
