Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby (born in Paris) and Chris Watson (born in Paris). The couple was moved to Oxfordshire when she was five years old and attended the Dragon School. When she was six years old, Emma knew she was going to become an actress. For many years she studied at the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theater school, where she learned the art of acting and dancing. At the age of 10, she had appeared and played as the main character in several Stagecoach productions and school plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone is the film from 2001 adaption from J.K. Rowling's bestselling book was filmed in 1999. Agents for casting found Emma via her Oxford theatre teacher. After eight consecutive auditions, director David Heyman told Emma and co-applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they had been selected to play the three main characters Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. The film's release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's cinematic screen debut. It broke all records in the opening day sales as well as opening week-end take-offs and was the highest-grossing film of the year 2001. The film was praised by experts, and also by the performance of three starlets. The Daily Telegraph, an influential British publication, described Emma's acting "amazing". Emma received five awards to honor her role in the movie.
